Description:
Pair of armchairs designed by Otto Wagner for the Österreichische Postsparkasse (Austrian Postal Savings Bank), manufactured by Thonet, Vienna in 1905/06. At a later date the beechwood frame was (re-)stained and the seat / back reupholstered in hunter green leather with brass nailheads.
