Description:
This fabulous bentwood rocker was made by Jacob & Josef Kohn of Vienna, Austria, circa 1904. It features a seat back with geometric pierced decoration and measures 21" wide, 37" deep, and 41.5" high. The seat measures 18" deep, 17.5" wide and the seat height is 13" measured at the spine (toward the rear of the seat). Condition is excellent. The only known repair is to a clean break on the left-most vertical slat, roughly halfway up the seatback. This chair resides in our client's gallery on the Upper West Side of Manhattan ( New York city ) and may be seen by appointment.
