Description:
Antique wallpaper print roller that dates to mid-20th century is the centerpiece to this one-of-a-kind pedestal table. These rollers would fit onto large presses to print wallpaper patterns directly onto paper. Each roller is unique with filigree and original ink elements and occasional traces of hand-penciled etchings by the craftsmen who made them. The roller shown would've created a broad stripe pattern and is rich in the tobacco-colored wood tones of an an old-forest hardwood core - maple or mahogany. The natural 1/4" thick steel top and base - powder-coated to prevent rust - were added to form the table and are reminiscent of how the roller fit onto the press. For indoor use only.
