Furniture, antiques, collectibles, architectural, and decorative objects of the modern age. Our emphasis is on 20th Century furnishings and accessories, but our constantly changing collection often features an eclectic array of antiques and collectibles of every vintage.
A 1930s automobile grill becomes a machine age sculpture hanging over an art deco store display used as a swanky bar. Early 20th century fencing shields become a distressed mirrored wallcovering over a 1960s console of patinated steel and brass studs. Glamorous Hollywood regency lamps sit on mid-century modern cocktail, dining, or console tables of glass, lacquer, chrome, or brass. Our selection of vintage medical and pharmaceutical storage cabinets are a decorative and functional way to display and store your possessions and collectibles. Pieces in our shop are placed along side each other in a way that will inspire the shopper to imaginatively mix and match items of any style, time period or function.
We have sold pieces by Aalto, Le Corbusier, McCobb, Mies van der Rohe, Parzinger, Saarinen, Springer, and Knoll. We also carry a selection of Swedish signed art glass such as pieces by Vicke Lindstrand and Gunnel Nyman. However, we generally seek out the unusual and the unsung.
41 Main Antiques & Collectibles is situated on two floors of a charming 1850’s house in the historic district of South Egremont, MA. We are located on Route 23 -- a short distance from Hudson, NY -- and our prices are within reach of most design-oriented collectors. We may not be the largest shop, but our distinctive pieces are not likely to be found in most other shops in the region.
