Description:
This is an exceptional, original large bronze by Jean-baptiste Auguste Clesinger (1814-1883), cast by the Parisien foundry, Marnyhac, in 1868. It measures 38.5" by 20" by 10" (97.8 by 50.8 by 25.4 cm). This bronze comes from the collection of Jack Palance (1919-2006) and bears the paper ownership label he applied to each of the items in his substantial collection of fine art. This item resides with our client in northern New Jersey and may be seen in person by appointment.
