Description:
This Japanese bronze and brass oil lamp dates from the nineteenth century and has a lovely patina. Lamp alone measures approximately 14" high and 10" across. The slag glass lamp shade is not original to the lamp and measures 23" tall and 16" wide. Interior has a beautiful cast mark of the maker. It has a brass body with cast bronze lily pad feet, and the patina is old and undisturbed. Burner knobs carry the mark of Higgins & Seiter of New York. This exceptional lamp would look quite at home in any setting with an Arts and Crafts or Aesthetic period style. This item resides with our client in northern New Jersey and may be seen in person by appointment.
