This fabulous chryselephantine bronze by Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet (active 1910-1940) depicts a female juggler in exotic costume, holding two spheres (in onyx stone). Her hands and face are carved from ivory, and the bronze features polychrome cold-painted patination and rests upon a stepped marble base. (Spheres rest comfortably in place, but they have been secured with clear scotch tape which can be seen in our images.) Signed in the stone " Cjr Colinet ". Measures 21" high, 24" wide and 7" deep and weighs an estimated 35-45 lbs. This item resides in our client's gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment.
