The year (1976) marks the beginning of the famed,
"Carnival of Saint Petersbourg" Period - one of the
most significant for the artist and coincides with
Chemiakin's Exhibition at Galerie Altman-Carpentier,
Paris. The deluxe edition of the exhibition catalog
included a small lithograph and two others were
published at the time. This is one of that pair.
