Description:
Leonor Fini (Argentina - France, 1907 - 1996)

Striking portrait of the artist's friend and art publisher, Ariane Lancell. Fini is known for her powerful portraits in all mediums. Self taught, Fini had her first show in Trieste, Italy, where she was raised. In later years, Leo Castelli, her childhood friend, would call on her to organize the first show of Surrealists in his new gallery in Paris.
