Pair of Bronze Winged Griffin Candlesticks By Tiffany & Co

Included here is a matching pair of antique bronze candlesticks by Tiffany & Company, depicting winged griffins. Each carries the Tiffany & Co. mark with style (pattern) number 0416 and order number 7222. Each measures 6" high, 7" wide and 2.5" deep. The old patina is undisturbed with shades of green. Given the relatively low pattern number, we believe this pair likely date from the 1850s or 1860s, not long after the Tiffany & Co. name was adopted in 1853. We have never seen this pair of griffin candlesticks come to market.
