Yastiks were used in Ottoman homes as cushions on the divans that provided seating. This weaving was made by hand in an Anatolian village about one hundred years ago. The palette is typical of Ottoman weavings, with the saturated cochineal red field and other natural dyes.

Suitable for use as a small rug or to be made into a cushion.
