Description:
Antique wallpaper print roller that dates to the early 20th century is the centerpiece of this one-of-a-kind pedestal table. These rollers would fit onto large presses to print wallpaper patterns directly onto paper. Each roller is unique with old forest wood core (maple or mahogany), brass filigree and original ink elements and occasional traces of hand-penciled etchings by the craftsmen who made them. Heavily patterned brass has a cloisonne-like effect. The natural 1/4" thick steel top and base - powder-coated to prevent rust - were added to form the table and are reminiscent of how the roller fit onto the press. For indoor use only.
